Description
X4-LRF Details
The Maztech X4-LRF family of laser rangefinders utilize co-aligned visible and infrared aiming lasers as well as an integrated Applied Ballistics® solver with on-board environmental and motion sensors, giving you a complete ranging and ballistics solution in one compact, rugged package.
The X4-LRF-15K™ uses a 1534 nm, military-grade laser that’s not detectable by night-vision devices, and by using a low-noise, high-gain Avalanche Photodiode (APD) photoreceiver – which receives automatic bias temperature compensation from Maztech’s factory – the X4-LRF-15K offers best-in-class sensitivity to promote long-range performance while minimizing laser pulse energy and optimizing battery life. All of this translates into the ability to range a man-sized target out to three kilometers (1.86 miles) and larger targets out to 15 kilometers (9.32 miles) while allowing for real-time target adjustments thanks to its ballistic solver.
The X4-LRF-2K™ is available for consumers who want a compact, rugged and reliable rangefinder at a lower price point. Designed for closer engagements within two kilometers (1.24 miles), the X4-LRF-2K provides reliable range to target information, along with all the other features and capabilities of the X4-LRF-15K, including an onboard visible pointing laser, infrared aiming laser, and a ballistics solver with an integrated environmental sensor suite.
Both models are built around an onboard ballistic solver that uses Applied Ballistics software to create firing solutions that also account for humidity, pressure, temperature, heading, pitch and roll. When optionally paired with the Maztech Companion app, the X4-LRF can be configured from a smartphone, which also allows access to the Applied Ballistics online database. As many as 30 different ballistic profiles can be saved by the X4-LRF. A large format OLED display gives the shooter clear, easy-to-read information. A 3-button keypad is built into the unit for manual inputs. A 12-in, X4 Low-Profile Remote (MZT007) is included.
The X4-LRF can be used in either a single-measurement mode or can continuously range targets with a click of a button. Weighing a mere 12.9 oz (including battery), the X4-LRF is light enough to be handheld and used as a standalone unit, but it is designed to mount on a standard Picatinny rail and be utilized in conjunction with a sighting scope. A built-in hotshoe port allows for attachment of the Maztech X4 Illuminator™ (available in the near future). The X4-LRF will operate under the harshest conditions between -40˚ F and 140˚ F (subject to appropriate temperature-rated batteries).
Designed to easily pair with the Maztech X4-FCS™ (Fire Control System; sold separetely), for the ultimate targeting and fire-control solution.
Made in the USA.
